West Bank Community Development Corporation

The West Bank Community Development Corporation (WBCDC) is a non-profit, community-based developer working in the Cedar Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The West Bank CDC was created in 1973 by Cedar Riverside neighborhood residents to democratically control the affordable housing and commercial buildings created by those neighborhood residents through collective action, cooperation and political activism.

The CDC developed over 500 units of housing and two commercial buildings.  We also conducted a wide variety of community organizing efforts.

The CDC still owns 487 units of affordable housing and two commercial buildings.  If you are looking for housing, commercial space or an affordable office take a look at our properties for rent.

The CDC is part of a broader movement committed to community-based development, social justice and democratic process.

We are governed by a Board of Directors elected by the membership at the annual meeting.
